Present Tenses in Action

Today you will have a chance to see the English Present Tenses in Action.

There are several forms of Present Tenses:

Present Continuous indicates that an action is in progress, in a state of change, or in the nearest (planned) future.

Present Simple describes an action that never changes, always stays the same, repeats itself and points to future events as reflected in schedules and curricular.

Using the forms in practice, as we've seen before, turns out to be a bit more complicated than just learning the rules. But, practice does make perfect, especially if it is based on authentic materials. So, here's a practical assignment: watch the movie trailer below and fill out the gaps with either Present Simple or Present Continuous.

You will find your answer key in your Grammar classroom (if you're not enrolled yet, you can learn more here).
