120. Weddings in America, part 2: Wedding Vows

Everybody wants their wedding to be special, unique, and unforgettable. Each wedding you attend, no matter how similar it seems, always incorporates some unusual elements, such as candle-lighting, special music and dancing, vibrant colors, unconventional ceremony, and personal vows. Wedding vows are the essential part of an American wedding, this is where the bride and the groom are free to write their own meaningful message rather than following a traditional one. A dictionary states that a vow is a solemn pledge that indicates one's commitment. A vow usually requires at least one witness to hold you accountable later. Marriage vows made before God are viewed as unshakable and inviolable as God is the witness of the union and the One to solidify the pledge.
